The 4th of July means being proud to be American. It also means fireworks. If you want to see the best fireworks displays in all fifty states, then you need to come to Florida. In particular, you need to come to Orlando.
Orlando is home to the most stunning fireworks in the world. Between all the theme parks they are common enough that the city’s pyrotechnic skill level is on another level. Sure, you could attend your neighborhood cookout and watch your neighbor light some roman candles, or maybe a whirligig – or you could book a trip to Orlando to see the best of the best put on a magical show in the night sky that will leave you and your family gasping in delight.
In fact, there isn’t just one amazing fireworks display here in Orlando – there are many. Here are our picks for the best in the city.
DISNEYWORLD 4TH OF JULY WEEKEND
When it comes to fireworks, Disneyworld may as well be your first thought. After all, between the Magic Kingdom, Epcot Center and Disney Hollywood Studios, there are three, count them, three fireworks displays here!
The first is at the Magic Kingdom. It’s called the “Concert in The Sky” because it perfectly matches fireworks with a musical soundtrack and begins at 9 PM. Then, there are competing shows at Epcot and Disney Hollywood studios – but we give the edge to the incredible “IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth” Epcot show.
FIREWORKS AT THE FOUNTAIN
There are plenty of options for theme park fireworks, but if you want to see how Orlando itself celebrates the 4th of July then come to Fireworks at The Fountain at Lake Eola Park! It’s a fun, family event that you can attend for free! Festivities begin at 4 PM and the fireworks will take place after dark – join Orlando’s mayor Buddy Dyer and Orlando’s vibrant community for a great day in the sun!
If you want a great Orlando family vacation, book a room at The Vista Cay Resort by Orlando Resorts Rental. With a variety of stay options, including 2-3 bed units and townhouses, we’re a great option for bringing the whole family comfortably.
