October is a great month for visiting the many theme parks of Orlando. If you’re an adult who loves a good scare then there’s no beating Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios, but if you’re on a family trip with some young ones who MAY not appreciate being scared out of their skin then you absolutely must check out Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween at Disney World!

Built around the idea that Halloween doesn’t have to be scary to be fun, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween is a great way to introduce your kids to the joys of spookiness!

The great joy of Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween is that the whole park takes on a new look for Halloween. Even if you’ve been to Disney World before this makes it a whole new experience. Enjoy exclusive rides like The Mad Hatter’s Teapot ride! Kids will love the Treat Trails, trick or treat paths where the whole family will get candy from actual Disney characters. It’s all the fun of Halloween with an added Disney thrill.

One of the best parts of Disneyworld’s Halloween extravaganza is the Boo To You Parade which takes place twice per day and features a bevy of actors playing all of your favorite Disney characters riding on lavish floats and displays.

The nighttime fireworks are hosted by none other than Jack from The Nightmare Before Christmas Skellington in life-size puppet form. This Halloween themed pyrotechnic display is sure to be the best you’ll ever see.

Ticket prices may vary a little but include full entry to Disney World. Adult tickets are $79 throughout October but jump to $135 on Halloween night. There’s also a $299 per person party pass, but you would have to plan on visiting the event at least four times to get the most out of this!

Take the kids to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween and save on your vacay by booking a room at The Vista Cay Resort by Orlando Resorts Rental. With spacious rooms, an outdoor swimming pool (that’s still comfortable to swim in during October!), a movie theater, and competitive rates, make us your Orlando home away from home.
